Cataract Surgery

Cataracts are a common cause of blurred vision, and are formed when the normally clear lens inside the eye starts to cloud. If left untreated, cataracts can significantly worsen vision and eventually cause blindness. Fortunately, cataract surgery has an excellent success rate in restoring healthy, clear vision with minimal downtime and discomfort.

We regularly perform cataract surgery to correct the vision of our patients, and by working with a carefully selected group of skilled and compassionate anaesthetists, the procedure is pain-free and carried out in a calm and stress-free environment. After careful personalised consultation, we gently remove the cloudy lens and replace it with a man-made lens. This process is performed as a day procedure under light sedation and local anaesthetic, which speeds up the recovery period. There is no need to stay in hospital after cataract surgery.

We value the comfort and confidence of our cataract surgery patients, and spend time ensuring that they feel prepared and relaxed during their cataract surgery journey. After surgery, we maintain close contact with our patients to assist with post-operative care and ensure the best possible results.
